The Brief
Product photography and stop-motion film for an artisan chocolate house.
The work covers the decorated batons close up, the tasting flights, and the ribboned gift trays the range is built to be given as.
The Approach
They are the size of a domino and finished like a tile: cobalt flowers on white, mustard honeycomb, a red damask, a plain green panel that gives nothing away.
You only learn what is inside by breaking one, so the camera breaks one. A pretzel-crusted baton opens on a bed of salted pretzels and lets its dark filling run. Elsewhere the range is ranked in colour rows on white porcelain, which is the tasting order, and then it is fanned, wrapped and finished with a gold bow, because in this part of the world chocolate is rarely bought for the person buying it.
What we did
The execution.

01
Creative Direction
Warm praline and peach grounds chosen to hold the printed tops, with the tasting order built into the frame.
02
Product Photography
The decorated tops close up, a broken baton on its own ingredient, the range ranked on porcelain, and the ribboned gift trays.

03
Stop-Motion Film
Films built around the gift box, from the closed lid to the open tray of filled batons.
