The Brief
Brand-led food photography for a refined restaurant and café whose name is debossed into its own ceramics.
Every frame keeps the mark, the travertine and the tonal palette in one register.
The Approach
PEAK signs its work the way a potter does, in the clay, before anything is served on it.
The letters sit under the glaze on a plate rim, on the wall of a bowl, on the body of a cup, and again in chocolate on top of the dessert, so the mark is read twice, once cold and once sweet. Travertine does the rest. Pitted, raw at the edge, it puts a rough surface under smooth food and lets a single line of herb oil, a spoon of purée, an amber pane of mango glaze carry all the colour a plate needs.
