Brand method
Brand Discovery & Identity
From first principles to a finished identity
Every identity we build starts by understanding the business behind it — its market, its ambition, and the reason it exists. We interrogate before we design, so the visual language answers a real brief rather than a passing mood. The result is an identity the founder can defend and the team can run with.
When this applies
For a new house finding its voice, or an established name whose look no longer matches where the business is heading.
The steps
- 01
Discovery & interrogation
We sit with founders and stakeholders to map the market, the audience, and what the brand must stand for. Nothing is designed until the brief is honest.
- 02
Strategic positioning
We define the territory the brand will own — its promise, its personality, and the distance between it and everyone else in the category.
- 03
Visual identity
Logotype, palette, typography, and art direction are developed as one system and tested against the real contexts the brand will live in.
- 04
Guidelines & handover
We codify the rules so the identity holds up across every hand that touches it, then walk the team through applying them.
